Fee Structure

Initial Consultation: $200 for one hour

This is a one hour onsite consultation during which the client and appraiser can discuss and identify the collection. If a formal appraisal is required, a plan including what the client can expect to receive and to pay are outlined. If no formal appraisal is required, this time may be used for the client to ask questions about the collection. This time does not include a written inventory of items with values. This fee will be due at the time of the consultation.

Inventory & Inspection: $200 per hour

If a written appraisal is needed an onsite inspection including detailed description and photographs will be performed. There is a minimum charge of one hour. This may be requested at the time of consultation.

Research: $200 per hour

Research is performed to determine the value based on proposed or completed sales of similar items to those in the inventory. This is done by conducting a market analysis. If the time needed to perform an accurate analysis seems to be exceeding the time outlined during consultation, the client will be contacted for approval before the appraiser proceeds. This amount will be due upon completion of the report.

Clerical Costs: $45 per hour

Clerical services are billed at $45.00 per hour. This service includes preparation and printing of the report to conform to the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) and the report writing standards of the International Society of Appraisers (ISA). A report consists of a description of the report parameters and the markets used, an inventory of items with values, photographs and necessary addenda. A report is delivered by email.  Copies of the report can provided on disc or printed for an extra fee. There is a minimum charge of $45.00. This amount will be due upon completion of the report.

Supplies & Other

These include charges such as mileage, producing extra copies, internet search fees if needed and other items not included in the basic fees. On occasion, consultation with a specialist is needed. An example might be paying for a quote for repair or reconstruction of a damaged item or consultation with a specialist appraiser. Any charges in this category will be itemized and approved in advance by the client. These items will be due upon completion of the report.
